First day of school

Abigail's first day of pre-k was Monday. She was very excited to go and meet her new teacher and make new friends. I, on the other hand, was not as excited for her to go. I cried when I took her picture, when she walked in the school and when we drove away. But we both survived her first day and she loved it! Andrew asked for her a few times but he was fine too.

Another Day at the Zoo

They loved this giant frog!

Andrew running through the tunnel.

The zoo has a big kids area that they can run and jump and dig.

Picnic time...

Andrew too!

This was the only walrus we could find that day.

Heeerrrrreeeeee's Andrew!!

Don't bug her!

Down on the farm.

After Abigail's first day of school we went out to Phil's Uncle John and Aunt Donna's to check out their garden. The kids had a blast! They ran around all over the place! I think they were especially impressed with the potato and carrot picking.

Love this picture!

Posing by the corn.

Abigail picked her first carrot! Not the same as pulling it out of a plastic bag!

Like I said, they were impressed by the carrots...now only if he would eat them.

Day at the zoo

We went to the Brookfield Zoo and Hannah came along with us. It turned out to be a beautiful day. Not too warm and a nice cool breeze. We were able to see some baby pigs and baby chicks and even a baby camel.

The kids wanted to pose in front of the "elefun" because "elephants are fun"...get it?? Guess you had to be there. They thought it was hilarious.

Posing in the giant Kangaroo.

Andrew on his tiger,

Abbie on her anteater &

Hannah on her Snow Leopard.

We went into the butterfly house. The kids sat still and didn't make a sound for the longest time.

Here are pictures of the different butterflies that I took. I think they turned out kind of cool.

Childrens Museum

We spent the day at the childrens museum and the kids had a great time. They were very busy all day and I don't think Andrew stopped running from the second we walked into the museum. There were so many fun and creative things for the kids to do. Abigail asked when we were coming back before we even left the parking lot!

Fun in the wind tunnel.

Can you tell how excited Andrew is???

Abigail loved standing in the water bubble!

Andrew was very busy trying to figure out how everything worked.

Abigail and Andrew really loved the water table.

Random goodness

Here are a few random pictures I had on my camera.

Whoever said "less is more" wasn't referring to hair bows!

Andrew got into the candy jar (obviously). He unwrapped every sucker that was in it and licked each of them. When I asked him who did it he said Abbie did it which I found funny because she wasn't home at the time.

A frog in my Dad's pond. Just thought it was a neat picture.

Abbie and Hannah being silly.

Vacation

We all went to Virginia Beach for vacation to visit my Aunt Gigi, Uncle Alan and cousin Casey in June. Victor came along with us. It was a lot of fun but definitely not long enough. We spent a lot of time on the beach and just relaxing. The kids had a ton of fun and so did we. Here are a few of the many pictures we took.

Andrew building a sand castle and digging in the sand. He would have stayed here all day playing if we let him.

Daddy and Uncle Victor showed Abigail how to dig for little crabs in the sand.
She caught one and was bringing it to show everyone.

She also "found" some great seashells and starfish in the sand! She was thrilled! (Uncle Alan secretly buried some for her.)

My little mermaid!

Aye Matey!!

They loved the beach!!

This is the view from our hotel. It was beautiful!!

Daddy, Andrew, Casey and Uncle Victor buried Abigail in the sand. I was surprised she sat still long enough to let them do it!

Andrew working on his tan. He didn't get far though with SPF 1,000! Gotta protect that Irish skin!

Daddy and Abbie playing in the ocean.

All of us in Uncle Alan and Aunt Gigi's pool.

Hungry Hungry Hippo!!

Here is a Abigail's 2007-2008 dance picture. This is her second year in dance. She is taking ballet and tumbling. Abigail had her big recital last night at the Rialto. She did an awesome job! She was so brave to get out on stage in front of so many people! The recital was called "Family Game Night" and each number was based on a different game. Abigail's was Hungry Hungry Hippo and she danced to One Hippopotamus. Hannah was in it too. Her ballet number was Candlyland and her music was Truly Scrumptious and her tap number was called Mall Madness and her music was Shop til You Drop. Both girls were wonderful! Andrew stayed home with Grandpa Leo and Aunt Carolyn. He did know some of her dance from watching her practice at home. He would jump when she did and clap when she did. It was so cute to watch! We are leaving for vacation. I'll have another post with pictures when we get back.

They love their silly sprinkler!!

Taking a break...the water is cold!!!

Braving the sprinkler alone .

I need a towel!

All done!!

Playing outside all day was a lot of work!

(Andrew fell asleep at the kitchen table in the middle of dinner)

Summer is off to a GREAT start!
